Description

The Lifetime Fireplace Grate is crafted in the USA from robust 1" x 1/2" steel bars with a high-temperature black coating, ensuring durability and resistance to intense heat and daily indoor use. Its heavy-duty construction provides dependable support for holding wood and coals, while its welded design enhances strength, making it a long-lasting addition to your fireplace. Designed with raised legs, this grate promotes proper airflow, resulting in an even and efficient burn. By improving drafting, it enhances fire performance, ensuring smoke is directed up the chimney rather than into your living space. Additionally, using a grate protects the floor of your fireplace, delivers a higher-quality burn, and makes those chilly winter nights more enjoyable.

How to Measure for Your Fireplace Grate To find the right fit for your fireplace grate, follow these steps:

  1. Measure the Back Width: Use a tape measure to determine the width at the very back of your fireplace. Start as far back as possible for accuracy.
  2. Measure the Front Width: Next, measure the width at the front opening of your fireplace.
  3. Measure the Depth: Finally, measure the depth from the front to the back of your fireplace. For the best fit, ensure there is at least 3 inches of clearance on all sides of the grate.
  4. To calculate this, subtract 6 inches from both the back width and the depth measurements. This ensures proper airflow and helps your grate function efficiently by keeping ashes contained and promoting better combustion.
