Description
The EFC 211 is a draft controller that is used with wood-fired appliances such as fireplaces, stoves and pizza ovens.
It consists of a control box and a speed control unit. The control box is typically installed on the outside of the chimney or inside an attic, while the speed control unit is installed in the room where the heating appliance is located. When used with a solid-fuel fired appliance a smoke detector and an audible alarm shall be installed in accordance with NFPA 72, National Fire Alarm Code.
The control constantly monitors the chimney fan operation. It measures the motor's current draw to dertermine if there's adequate draft to the chimney. It is used with RSHT and GSV fans and is for indoor installation only.
Typical uses are:
Controlling the speed of a chimney fan used with a wood-fired fireplace or stove; or controlling the speed of a chimney fan used with a wood-fired pizza-oven in a restaurant kitchen.
