ChimneySaver 1Trip! Form Release™ is a VOC-compliant, petroleum-based release agent designed to prevent concrete from bonding to a variety of form materials, including plastic, steel, aluminum, treated paper forms, and plywood. Ideal for professional concrete applications, it produces a smooth, blemish-free architectural finish while making form removal quick and easy.
Regular use helps extend the life of plywood and metal forms. On plywood, 1Trip! Form Release™ waterproofs mill-oiled surfaces to reduce the absorption of alkaline moisture, preventing grain raising, rot, and premature wear. On steel and other metal forms, it chemically reacts to create a protective rust-resistant film for longer-lasting performance.
Unlike many release agents, 1Trip! leaves no cement dust or residue on the finished concrete, creating a clean surface that is ready for curing compounds, sealers, mastics, paints, or other finishes when applied according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
Packaged in a convenient 1-gallon F-style container, this ready-to-use formula requires no mixing. Simply apply a thin, even coat using a fog-tip sprayer for consistent coverage and reliable performance.

Application Instructions:
Ensure forms are clean and free of dirt, hardened concrete, and other contaminants. Apply a thin, uniform film using a fog-tip sprayer with a cross-spray pattern to eliminate missed areas. Avoid overapplication. For plywood forms, apply one or two heavy brush coats to exposed edges for added waterproofing protection.
Important Notes:
- Do not use on reinforcing steel, as concrete will not bond to the steel.
- Not intended for use as a tilt-up bond breaker.
- Do not use the same pump-up sprayer for 1Trip! Finishing Aid, as cross-contamination will compromise both products.
- When applying coatings or finishes over newly formed concrete, always follow the coating manufacturer's instructions.
